I've heard lots of buzz these days about Tyra Banks' new reality show, Stylista, which will be airing this fall on the CW. It's a show with 11 aspiring fashion magazine editors competing for a position at Elle magazine. The winner also recieves a paid lease on a great apartment in Manhattan and $100,000 to buy clothes at H&M.
Each week there will be two challenges and the contestant that doesn't measure up will be elimanated or "fired" by Anne Slowey, the fashion news director of Elle, who is also their mentor.
From many sources, I've heard lots of critiscm about the show, but I'm looking forward to seeing what it's like. It sounds a lot like The Apprentice, which is one of my favorite shows, except Stylista is about fashion. I really can't wait!

This would be amazing, except that Tyra Banks is involved. Too bad they have to spend the money at H&M. I love H&M, but if I had a 100,000 it would be spent elsewhere!

I hope that Manhatten apartment is as large as it is great -- with $100,000 at H&M, the winner will be buying A LOT of clothes. The show sounds very "Devil Wears Prada." Can't wait!

I'll probably tune in, even though it is a tyra banks inspired idea...i dunno what it is about her, she's like a food allergy. You know you're not supposed to have shrimp, peanuts, or whatever you might be allergic to but you eat it anyways. But i agree with the clothes horse, they should just give them 100,000 to shop wherever they want.

I was wary as soon as you said Tyra Banks, who I cannot stand. Also, $100000 at H&M? I'd find it hard spending over £200 at H&M! However, if it's causing contraversy, it's probably vaguely interesting =)

the new show sounds interesting, and that's a mighty huge prize. i doubt i'll watch it tho, i've never really been into those apprentice-type shows.

Wow, that will be such a fun show! Can you even imagine the bitchiness that will ensue? Additionally, I wonder what kind of big bucks Elle has paid over to CW to be featured in all of their shows!

Despite all the negative criticism about the show I'm still very elated to see the show.
i read about this a while ago and I don't give a f**k what the word is...the more fashion related TV the more I'll be glued to box (which means nights in a saving money...LOL).

I believe that one of the candidates was a fashion blogger? The show isn't on cable here. $100000 is way to much to spend in H&M (though I love their stuff)
