Hot and Cold

The fall season is great because it deals
with more layers, coats, and so much
more to choose from.
There's something about fall/winter fashion that I just love and I look forward to the months to pass by every year during the hot seasons. Just the thought of wearing more clothes and layers and cuddling up next to the fire during the winter comforts me. The spring and summer seasons do scream out fun and excitement with it's bright clothes, but there's even more fun during the colder months in my opinion.

Fall and winter allow me to enjoy wearing lots of clothes: trench coats, sweaters, long pants, cardigans, colored stockings, boots, gloves and so much more. There's just so many choices! I do like the idea of bearing my skin during the summer, but with a slight problem with eczema here and there, it's harder for me than an ordinary person to show my skin.

I have to admit that there are many times during the winter when I wish for the summer heat to hurry up and come and in the summer I just can't wait for the chilly days in December. Don't we all think that every now and then? So what do you prefer: hot or cold?

thats exactly how I think! love S/S in the winter but F/W in the summer.
but im leaning towards fall collections. there's something about the coats and tights....

for the actual temperature, cold. i don't feel like doing anything when it's blazing hot. but i think i like summer clothes more. you're not always covered by a coat of some kind.

Is it possible to just say warm. I'll go for the spring, where you can mix clothes from both seasons!!

I prefer summer - we get way too much winter and its wet rather than cold! But I do have the lovely eczema problem too - I do find mine to be worse in winter with heating etc!

I'm not looking forward to bidding winter (and all my layers) farewell but then I can't wait for summer and hitting the beach!

layering is what i like to do when the weather gets chilly!

I wish I loved winter. I start to feel depressed in autumn as the light closes in. The dark days make me feel claustrophobic. This year Will be different. I will think of all the clothes I can wear and embrace winter.

perfect! thanks :)
p.s. I can't believe summer's over already... last winter was horrible, I hope its not the same this year, Even though we get to be pretty fashionable...

Cold! And definitely because of all those wonderful layers and winter accessories :]

I wish I could love winter like you... I guess spending 4 months a year in the Caribbean and the rest in California doesn't really help. I love the sun, and the cold makes me kind of sad. But then again, I was born in the tropics, I can't help loving hot days.

I like your blog, you are now on my faves!

I like the in-between seasons of spring and fall where there is a mixture of seasons and the weather is more mild. Thanks for the comment, and I would love to link exchange with you- I have already added you!

Totally love colder weather fashion wise, I looove layering. Plus I usually have colourful detailing in winter to brighten up my outfits. I think it gives you more of a chance to be creative too, because you don't have to worry about that one piece standing out so much, if you know what I mean?

eummmm i think cold, but i also love hot, so i'm not sure ahahha

Thanks for your comment on my blog; I'd love to link up with you! As soon as I finish leaving this comment I'm going to take care of that.

I love fall and winter clothes, but like everyone else when it gets to be about February I'm ready to buy sandals and dresses. By the time July rolls around, though, I'm back to daydreaming about cold-weather clothes. My looks lends itself better to tights, boots, and layers than it does to bare looks, so even though I love the carefree feeling of summer dressing, fall is ultimately my season.

I definitely think about summer when it's winter and vice versa. Can't help it, I guess! But winter is definitely more fun in the way that you can wear more clothing pieces and therefore, have more compliments!

definitely cold!! oh so many options!!! and no flies/mosquitos/open pores prone to pimples and the discomfort after being out for so long with sticky sunscreen

Sarah said...

I like dressing up for cold weather, I just don't like cold weather!

But in Singapore, there's just hot, damp, sticky... not much variety here sadly. Boo!

I don't prefer one over the other, I like them both equally. I'm sorry to hear of your skin woe. :(

I prefer hot weather but cool clothes. If I could just lounge all day, then definitely warm days.

karen said...

Hello! Thank you, I love your blog as well.

I say I love hot weather and vacation, but that all depends because now I am wishing the fall would come already, I'm tired of summer wardrobe and can't wait to layer!

Yay! Thankies for the jolly comment! I'd love to trade links, I'll add you to my blogroll right now!

Hate the cold weather, but love the clothes for it. I think it's more a grass is greener on the other side thing? I know come January I"ll be pining for sundresses and flip-flops again. Every season is great for fashion!

Grayburn said...

I love both but just like you, fall/winter a little more. The accessories can be bigger and more layers mean more choices for textures, colors and shapes. Possibilities are endless!

I totally agree with cold weather
bundling up with hot cocoa and a fire appeal to me more than sweating it out on a beach

I enjoy both winter and summer clothes. I will admit though I find the rainy season hard on us girls maintaining a sexy and put together look. Really how sexy can umbrellas be?

Lisa said...

I enjoy each season while it lasts--until the very end, that is, when the new merchandise in stores makes me wish the weather would change more quickly.

I prefer cold because I feel there are a lot more things to creatively to warm yourself up than to cool yourself down.

Cold all the way. Like you, I change my mind about that mid-March, when the MN winter has slogged on for what seems like endless months ... but I'm just happier and more comfortable in my fall and winter clothes. I like being covered, prudish as that sounds!

I have to say that I love fall fashion. Tights, layering, knit sweaters. But hate the rain. Proenza Schouler definitely has a gorgeous fall collection coming...

Fashionstyle said...

I love the sun and i love the snow...so...I love my clothes anytime!!

Terry said...

Though I do appreciate the style summer allows, it gets to be VERY limited after a while. And f/w just holds so many possibilities with the magic of layers! So definitely a cold girl here.

And your title reminds me of Katy Perry! :)
