Starting school can be hectic, but the whole ride is so much fun. The new people you meet, the good and bad professors that love assigning work, the panic that you get when you think there's going to be a quiz - it's all good.
The University I am going to requires lots of walking from building to building and you know what that means: no heels for me. Seriously, I thought I could manage them, but there is no way! I'll probably be sticking to flats for the next 4 years (well, you never know how long I'll take.)
When I take a look around me, it looks like a big melting pot of fashions that I like, dislike, don't understand, some I find humorous, some I'm jealous of. It's everything. Looking at campus fashion is fun, but something I didn't seem to notice before coming to college was how the guys dressed. It's not high school anymore; no more parents to watch you like a hound dog, not as many rules, it's all about freedom now. So it's amusing to see how guys dress or do they even care? Let's take a look:
You gotta love the nerds, they're smart and they don't dress that bad either. And I love the athletes with their casual sportswear.
The Business Major, the type that cares about looking good or "business man" like. And Mr. Laid Back in his casual clothes. 
And you can't forget the guys that come to class like they
just got out of bed and walk around in their pajamas.

Flats can be totally glamorous too so don't worry about no heels for 4 years :)

so funny, i totally hated those guys that showed up in their dirty pjs. not appropriate. while there are times in college that i certainly showed up to class in very casual outfits, i would suggest never going in sweats. it kind of gives the impression to teachers that you don't care that much, so i always would wear at least jeans.

When I was in college, I ran a lot of fashion experiments. That's part of being there. It's fun, and illuminating.
I wore a lot of flat shoes, too, but mostly mine were Converse high tops and Edwardian boots. Fashionable but practical.
Bet you'll find these same types in a lot of the girls, too! I work on a college campus and I definitely see the nerds, and sporties, and business majors amongst the co-eds.
My uni. is the same way, it's all over the downtown and walking crazy distances is a must ... but I'm planning on introducing heels to my school wardrobe this year( which is my 3rd,lol)... as for guy,I tend to see mostly laid back and pajama wearing kind... hope you're enjoying school :)
I couldn't cut it in heels on my uni campus. Too sprawling.
You've pretty much covered every type of guy on a typical uni campus except the soulfully sensitive philosophy major type who wears vintage jackets and beat-up leather boots and writes his thoughts in a Moleskine notebook. :)
My high school is a science and tech high school, so the majority of guys dress rather nerdy.
my school must not be into fashion, bc most of the ppl dress like they're in high school. not that much inspiration either. :( i cant even walk in flats or flip flops either! purple converse for me :D
I majored in Fashion Design and there was a big meltin pot of fashions. It is a very diverse mix of things I like, disliked and were just weird.
Ha-ha, most kids at my school dress like the last one! And hey--I'm a business major! ^_- But I definitly feel awkward in my classes, some kids do wear suits!

At my uni everything's about comfort. Heels? Never heard of that *lol* The only "fashionable" touches are scarves worn in every single way possible. By both guys and girls.
ahaha i just realized that at my school, the guys all manage to squeeze themselves into one of those categories!
however there are also the scenester/hipster guys, & the gangster/thug guys too...
personally, i never really fit into one category. i always end up wearing whatever suits my mood & the weather.
boys have it a lot easier - they seem to all have closets stocked up with one type of clothing.
Nerds rule...what's not to love about plaid shirts and glasses!

when i had to go to study group for chem, i accidentally showed up in the same pajamas four weeks in a row. when i only have one hour long class on a friday, you can't honestly expect me to dress up!

You forgot the Fratty. He's dressed in a Lacoste polo in an outlandish color (usually pink, lime green, baby blue), khaki shorts from A&F that have ratty hems, boat shoes or flip flops, and sunglasses with those plastic rubber thingies going around their neck. Those rubber things actually have a name, but I haven't bothered to remember it because I have no plans of owning one. Ohhh, I almost forgot. The Fratty also wears a hat that looks like it's been rolling around the dirt since 1995.

Most guys in my course ( business ) don't care & yes THEY WEAR THEIR PAJAMAS TO SCHOOL! I just don't get why is it so hard to put on at least a proper pair of jeans instead of wearing your pajamas too school.
Ah I love heels but I wear flats more often because of all the walking too.
I don't really like how some guys come to school in what looks like pyjamas. It usually shows that they don't put effort into looking even the slightest bit presentable.
That's a really good way to look at back to school :)

haha that last one reminded me of the boy at my college who ALWAYS went to school in his PJs! it was hilarious but kinda lame as if he didnt own any real clothes and just spend all his money on weed which he blatently did... oh well!
