Patricia + Orlando + Namie = A Great Team

I've been in love with Japan's Vidal Sassoon commercials every since they started them. It's amazing how Patricia Field (the mastermind stylist behind Sex and the City), the fabulous hairdresser Orlando Pita, and Namie Amuro, one of Japan's biggest pop stars can collaborate together and they continue to make great commercials for Vidal Sassoon.

The theme of the whole campaign, "Fashion, Music, Vidal Sassoon", was to remake the styles of the 60s, 70s, and 80s with the background music sung by Japanese pop star, Namie Amuro. Last month they came out with a new commercial, Show Girl.

I love the creativity that went into these commercials. You can tell there was a lot of hard work put into them and these are probably my most favorite hair commercials ever.

Here's the most recent commercial (Click on clip to play):

Oh god, I love Namie Amuro. When she came out with that long, slightly wavy hair, I went and got the exact same hairstyle as her. It was ridic. I can't believe she has a child.

The clips didn't play very well for me but what I saw of them was really, really cool!

I like that, unlike most hair commercials, they weren't only about the hair. They're very really enjoyable and inspirational productions.

The 70s theme ad is my favourite - I love the funky clothes and attitude!

Hey, resident Namie Amuro fan here! I am so glad that someone in the Western world (lol) FINALLY took notice of the great Vidal Sassoon campaign.

Namie Amuro has been a star on the Japanese music scene for the past FIFTEEN years, and she is effortlessly stunning. All of these songs are modern takes on classic 60s70s80s (her single title) decade songs. The 60s had a take on Baby Love by The Supremes, the 70s on Rock Steady by Aretha Franklin, and 80s on What a Feeling by Flashdance - fantastic overall!

There are also making of clips on Youtube, where you can watch how the whole production goes together - Patricia and Orlando talk also!

I sound like such a plug, but this is genuine information that everyone should know :D Again, fantastic blog post!

Hi outstanding blog! Does running a blog like this require a large amount of work?
I've virtually no knowledge of coding however I was hoping to start my own blog in the near future. Anyway, should you have any ideas or tips for new blog owners please share. I know this is off subject but I just had to ask. Appreciate it!
