Lindsay Lohan Leggings On Sale

Lindsay Lohan modeling
for her new leggings line, '6126'.
For $132. With knee pads.

As some of you may know by now, Lindsay Lohan set out to make her own line of leggings in the beginning of the year and they are finally out. As far as I can see, there are only a few kinds of styles, all which are long. Prices do range from $99-$132, and leg warmers for $42.

I have the utmost respect for Lindsay Lohan and her hard work at trying to sell her own line, which name is 6126 (the birth date of Marilyn Monroe who was the inspiration of the whole line), but I'm getting tired of leggings and even more tired of celebrities trying to design. And to me, the price range is pretty expensive and I wonder, is her name and design worth that much for one pair of leggings?

I'm personally not a big fan of leggings, but I do think some people can pull it off really well. I do despise it when Lindsay and other celebrities wear them as pants though... Let's just see how well these leggings sell. Actually, I'm not so worried about her line selling, but I want to see how long the whole leggings hype lasts!

seriously, kneepads? I'm not going to go there...

I think leggings are generally over, there are still fresh ways to wear them and I sort of like patterned ones and special textures, but I was never much of a fan to start (and I'm pretty sure I've never seen a pic of Marilyn Monroe in them either!)

I think the knee pads are for certain activities that I'm sure LiLo enjoys a lot!

I'm not a fan of her ridiculously overpriced leggings, although I do like leggings themselves!

seriously...didn't legging go out like a year ago? and as far as the knee pads, didn't think that they were ever in. while i do love the name of the brand (very clever, as opposed to just using her name by itself), these leggings are far too pricey. plus, it's summer. who needs 'em?

that price range is rediculous for leggings!

ilove her (she's beautiful) but i always ask, "why u keep doing these things?"

her leggings are expensive.. maybe the kneepads made it expensive?? :P

Kneepads are not me, but I love leggings!!

So over leggings...
and Lindsay Lohan ;->

I love leggings, because they're so comfortable.. but a legging fashion collection is quite ridiculous. She should've at least designed an entire collection, influenced by Marilyn Monroe and the leggings are only a small part of it.

I still wear leggings, even if they were "over" a year ago, but i wear footless tights more. But honestly, just because people are celebs doesn't mean they can design.
Huff, i can understand when the so called "fashion icons" do it, but Lindsay Lohan? It's just for the money. That's all.

how long before people realize that for $130 you can still by a decent pair jeans that will last longer than 6 months. However I've totally bought into the legging thing and bought a pair of man leggings...?!?!?!?!

Ugh! Not worth the money. And how is Marilyn Monroe who never wore leggings the inspiration???

I actually think leggings are awesome! But they are so expensive. I can get them for 5 bucks & they last pretty long too! & knee pads..hmm

I love leggings but these are way overpriced - and knee pads? hmm, good for when you're scrubbing the tub?

I agree with you; I don't like leggings; and they are soo over now

The price is outrageous! If she's going to sell a line focusing on a product that is already in every store, it would be nice if there was something a little more special about the leggings than kneepads and zippers, something I could easily DIY to me my leggings. Why not some pretty print or interesting fabrics that we haven't seen before? Also, I'm not so keen on buying anything "designed" by a celebrity. Very few of them even have much personal style--they all have stylists who supply them with a look for the most part.

So not worth the price.

I really can't stand it when people wear leggings as pants - it just doesn't look good!

Yeah I am pretty much done with the whole legging fad, I've pretty much been done with it since the end of last summer. Just not for me! Especially worn as pants.

I still find it hard to wear leggings beyond my exercise machine, I really don't think they're age appropriate for me now.

What impresses me most about this blog is your courage to buck the trend system. Clearly, you are not a "just because they have a big name" kind of person. That's extremely refreshing.

I look forward to reading your blog.

Keep up the good glamour.

I love leggings but NOT the la lohan version - in a word: tacky!

And I whole-heartedly agree with your statement about celebs turned designers, ENOUGH ALREADY! How about tapping some young, deserving, Fashion Design student for some stylish goodness?!

i love leggings, but definitely not when worn as pants. under skirts or long tops, and they're really cute.

link me back if possible? thanks!

That is way too much money to spend on leggings, when I can just go to some local store and pay like 5 bucks! Thank ya very much! Albeit, they are cute but...noway would I pay that amount just for a name. Hmph.

:D

All I can say is "WTF Lindsay"?

i like the ones with the side zipper. but that price is a little too much to pay for a pair of legging.

Siljesfashion said...

Haha, thats funny. No knee pads for me. Seroiusly, that much for a pair of leggings?Never.

I like the concept of the birthdate being the name of the line, but those prices are ridiculous. I wonder where everything is sourced from?? haha.

I agree...leggings are slowly dying. Legs need to go bare.
I like the ones with the zipper on the side but that's waaaaaay to expensive !

I don't really like leggings and her price range is way to extreme... and celebs really need to stop with the whole designing thing, it's becoming to annoying :S

ahhhh that is such a fashion crime. leggings as pants. who wants their butt that exposed for the world! hahaha.x

I fantasize about Lindsey reverting to her "Mean Girls" self, leaving the leggings behind and becoming human once more. But I think she is lost to us. The whole kneepads thing cements this belief.

Just blogrolled you, kitten. Exchange away!

MyFashionAddictions said...

haha i LOL'ed when I read "the kneepads are for certain activities she loves to do". I mean it could very well be true.

That aside I also find them way too over priced for LEGGINGS. i paid 40$ for a pair when they where new and regretted it a bit.. you could go to H&M, Forever 21, etc and get some for $10.. I'm wondering as well how long leggings will be "in".. Even though it's getting a bit old.. I still LOVE the way I look in them and a pair of heels haha.

P.s.: yes, I would love to exchage links.=)

lmao kneepad leggings.

personally i like leggings, and it all depends on who wears them..but seriously i would never spend that amount ofmoney on leggings.

This is just my personal opinion, but I am so tired of leggings. They are one of the worst trends to bestow the fashion world. If you can pull it off, they might look good with a belted oversize t-shirt dress and chunkey heels or flats, but there are just so many people who do horrendous things with leggings like wearing them as pants, pairing them with tennis shoes, and wearing them under shorts. I can't believe so many people are still wearing them...
Well, I'm not a fan of Lindsay Lohan, but, yeah, I do sort of respect her for trying, even though, I am getting tired of celebs trying to design as well.
Although, leggings with kneepads are even worse than leggings with lace...

ohmy. i would so not buy them. target here i come! :x

I'm over leggings but leggings with kneepads?! Wow, these I'm going to buy. Especially when they are so overpriced. I just HAVE TO HAVE them.
(yes, slight sarcasm there).

I hate leggings, I hate people who wear them as pants, I hate Lindsay Lohan, and I hate celebrity lines. I don't think there has been a post that has hit almost everything that I hate in 1 photo and 3 short paragraphs. I pray no one buys these, the price drops down to 15 dollars on all of them, and people still ignore them.

Velveteen Rose said...

I wouldn't waste my money! I'm not really into leggings, and plus that price is a bit on the high side.

Thanks for the comment I'm going to add you to my link list right now! :)

I'm interested to try her line on. I like the zipper ones best!

Totally agree with you! And YES! to the link swap. Thanks for checking out my blog.

even if these leggings were a super staple for all seasons...
consider the simple material, little design work and durability-
NOT WORTH 132 dollars a pop!

Leggings are nearing their end, and have only survived so long really because of the differentiations in them (lengths, colors, textures, fabrics..), but a cuz of theirs, tights, are hands-down fab. Especially because fall is right upon us, it gets boring wearing jeans everyday, so throw on a pair of cute plaid shorts with a fun color of opaque tights underneath, and you're sure to look uhdorableee.
