Is it in or out?

Looks like Project Runway Season 5 is coming to television on July 16th on Bravo, with all the judges from the previous season returning as well. That's including Michael Kors and Nina Garcia. With Nina Garcia fired from Elle Magazine, I was wondering how it all would turn out, and it looks like Project Runway is switching from Elle to Marie Claire, which is where Nina Garcia will be working.

However, reports have stated that Project Runway will be be moving from Bravo to Lifetime for it's 6th season (not the upcoming one, but next year). Not only will it be changing networks, but Project Runway 's going to LA! What?! This sounds like ANTM all over. Heidi Klum has also commented, “The concept will be the same, [But] it will have, definitely, a face-lift. The look of the show will change a little bit.”

I wonder why they decided to change from NY to LA, which sounds ridiculous when they could show at New York Fashion Week. And I can't imagine what Project Runway will look like without filming it at Parsons. But maybe, it'll turn out better than we expect, but I really like the show as it is now.

In the meantime, here are some links to funny moments from the previous seasons of Project Runway:

Austin Scarlett - Season 1

Santino Rice's Tim Gunn Impression - Season 2

Kayne Talking - Season 3

Michael Kors Laughing - Season 4

Christian Siriano FIERCE - Season 4

That's so weird that they're moving to LA. I hope the winner doesn't show at LA's fashion week.

NOOOOOO...It just won't be the same...what about Mood! I guess Mood could have stores in LA!!! LA fashion week must be shelling out top dollar to pull PR to show. It's not like there's a whole lot more going on that week. The PR designers can join all the other 'celeb designers' under the big top of freakville.

UGH, I hate the move to LA. It's actually because PR isn't on Bravo anymore! So the producers of the new network (Lifetime, I think?) decided that they should change it up a bit. I'm really discouraged by this.

And I love those funny clips! Daniel V. was such great eye candy.

To be honest, I never really like these shows...well, I love seeing what they make, but I hate the criticism. I just feel that people are way too biased when it came to fashion. It's like there's a certain criteria to fit in to make you a 'good designer'.. blah.

I only ever watched one of UK versions of this show as my friend was in it and came second, so it was nice seeing his collection which was really amazing.

though reality tv's interest in the fashion world was obviously spawned by ANTM, I think the first season, Project Runway was something novel and refreshing, but after 4 seasons, it's become a little boring. Christian did spice things up a bit, and I love him for it, but I think having things switched up a bit will be good for the show.

I have no idea why Austin Scarlett didn't make it to NY Fashion week in Season 1

instead of Wendy Pepper. What the hell?!

And HAHAH I love Michael Kors!! What a silly silly man, haha.

And Christian Siriano. I'm in love with him.

Also, I'm with you on this... Not sure why they would move it to LA when there

are so many more fashion-y things in NY.. Weird!

Oh and I'd love to link exchange with you.. You're linked! :D

I think I could sum it up eloquently by just saying: GROSS! I not only think the move to L.A. will be harmful to the integrity of P.R., but the move to Lifetime as well. I mean, Bravo is a much more reputable station when it comes to the world of design and fashion. I could be wrong, but when I think of Lifetime, I think of Valerie Bertenelli movies about abusive husbands and Massengil ads-NOT couture gowns and high fashion.

Hopefully, the show will still be the same. What some of the aspiring fashion designers turn out week after week is amazing!

This is insane but I have watched all of the seasons, and I can't wait for the next one. I can't even explain what I like about it so much but I totally love it, and one can get soooooo many ideas from each episode - it is awesome.

Elle or Marie Claire, I don't think it makes such a difference to the show. And we'll have to wait and see about L.A.:))

Ew... moving to lifetime is horrible!!!!!! I love my Lifetime, but seriously... no.

I can't help but look forward to Project Runway even if it will end up in LA, it's my favorite show. But I totally agree, I think it lame to have them work in LA when they will end up at NYFW and I like Parsons a lot as an element of the show, NY is the US fashion capital after all.

I was so upset when I first heard about this. I hate that it's leaving Bravo, sounded like a really underhanded move.

Lots of changes indeed. ANTM worked out well, but then again, that show moved to NYC not away from NYC. I guess we have to watch and see.

I'll be honest, I was never a fan of Nina Garcia on that show so I'm not bummed about her leaving. I think I'll have to give this LA move a chance before I can judge. I love those clips, so funny!

Love Project Runway...not sure about Lifetime though, seems an odd pairing! I also hadn't heard Nina Garcia was fired from Elle -- any more on that story?
