When I was a little kid and growing up, I never really cared much about photography nor did I understand what was so amazing about it. (And my dad was/is a photographer and I still didn't get it!) But these days I've learned to appreciate photography and it's certainly not something anyone can do.

Before I really got into fashion I thought everything was always about the model and that she did most of the work, but the truth is, if it wasn't for the photographer and staff then the model wouldn't exist in advertisements and magazines.

Flipping through the pages of my magazines, I notice how perfect the lighting and positioning that all the photographs have. Everything is taken so professionally, yet I feel like up until now I took it for granted and didn't realize how great the photographer really is. I believe photographer's don't get as much credit as they deserve and I would like to applaud them all for their great work. Yes, maybe the top fashion photographers like Mario Testino, Annie Leibovitz, and Gilles Bensimon are widely known, but I still don't think they get enough credit!

One of my favorite photographers at the moment is Koji Yano. He mainly takes photos of products for cosmetic companies and magazines rather than actual people and models. But I think the man has great technique and the way he captures the picture is flawless. Here are some photos taken by him:
